Neurodivergence and Health Coaching

Dr. Lori partners with individuals with ADHD and Autism (diagnosed and suspected) to work towards future goals and self-betterment in multiple areas of life. Many clients also have chronic health conditions and/or experienced past trauma. For 25+ years, she has integrated aspects of Academic, Life, and Health Coaching into Therapy. Now she is offering it as a stand alone service in the US and in Canada!

What is Coaching?

Coaching is not therapy. In coaching, we partner to pursue your self-betterment. You achieve your goals through reflection on your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Using a strengths-based, positive psychology approach, we will identify values and opportunities for growth. We will have a strong focus on your goals and desired coaching outcomes.

Coaching and therapy are separate types of treatment. During our initial phone consultation, we will jointly choose which treatment will work best for you. In Coaching, Dr. Lori will not diagnose and will refer to therapy, if need later, to address more significant mental health concerns. We will remain forward focused and use your internal wisdom to meet your goals.

In the US, insurance does not pay for Coaching. In Canada, some Provincial insurance plans may reimburse for limited sessions.

What Do Sessions
Look Like?

At the start of our collaboration, you will identify short-term and long-term goals. Each session you will determine your SMART Goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) to achieve between sessions, as well as decide ways to break through any perceived barriers you think might stand in your way. We will check-in regularly on progress towards long-term goals. To support your goals, you may wish me to be your accountability partner between sessions. We can add some Educational Sessions in addition to Coaching, should you wish to learn more about different topics.

Offerings are different depending on your specific needs. Some people benefit from as little as 8-12 sessions. Others may wish to continue working together for longer. Talk to Dr. Lori about her different payment options to determine what works best for you.
